Community Booth Hosts

Any public group, state or municipal agency or nonprofit organization may sponsor the TTCFM community booth for a market day. The booth may be used for outreach on topics of public interest or for public education on topics of concern in the community. With the exception of these approved activities, no soliciting, political, or religious activities shall be permitted within the Market area.

Our 2011 market will run every Wednesday May 25 through October 26 from 11am to 2pm. Community groups and/or organizations requesting a Community Booth reservation at the market must be a public agency or non-profit organization offering information regarding community related services.  The daily stall fee of $15.00 applies to Community Booth participants.

To become a Tumwater Farmers Market community booth host, please review the 2011 Community Booth Host Policies below, download our 2011 Community Booth Host Application, and follow the instructions as appropriate. Please call (360) 464-5879 if you have any questions.

We highly encourage participation of community groups or agencies related to agriculture, horticulture, nutrition, wellness, and buy local promotion; and encourage participates to present interactive programs.

2011 Community Booth Policies

1. Reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis. The Market Manager will determine availability of applications for multiple-week sign-ups on a space-available basis and to allow opportunity for other groups.

2. A 10x10 canopy, canopy weights, one table and two chairs are provided. Additional chairs and weather protection are the applicant's responsibility. Information may be passed out from stall area only. No microphones/electronically-enhanced presentations or “barking” permitted. Groups may not sell items or food unless given permission in advance.

3. Community Booth groups are subject to the 2011 Vendor Rules unless otherwise specified.

Market Dates and Times

The Market will open Wednesday, May 25 and will run for 23 consecutive Wednesdays through October 26, from 11 am to 2 pm as follows:

The Market is located on City of Tumwater property at the SW corner of Capitol Blvd. and Israel Rd, behind the old Tumwater Fire Station. All vendors and Community Booth hosts must remain at the Market site until the 2:00 pm closing, and must vacate the Market site by 4:00 pm.

Day of Market Requests

If a group is interested in renting the booth on the day of the market, the specific non-profit or government organization is welcome to come to the Market on Wednesdays, between 10:30 and 11:30 to inquire whether there is availability of community booth space for that day. The market manager will review any requests made on the day of the market as well as all advance requests.

Non-profits and government organizations are encouraged to let the Market Manager know what dates are most desirable and she will include your requests on a primary scheduling list. Then, if space becomes available other than the preferred Market day you will receive a call during the week advising you of the opportunity to use the booth.

These Rules may be modified at any time. The Market Manager will notify all vendors of any changes.
