Community Booth Hosts

Thank you for your interest in the Tumwater Farmers Market. Our Wednesday Market will run from May 28 to October 29 from 11am to 2pm. Community groups and/or organizations requesting a Community Booth reservation at the Tumwater Market must be a non-profit or government organization offering information regarding community related services.

One 10' x 10' canopy, one table, and 2 chairs are provided. Information may be passed out from your stall area only. No microphones/electronically-enhanced presentations or "barking" are permitted.

Reservations at the market will generally be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Community Booth groups are subject to all Market Rules, unless otherwise specified.

2008 Community Booth Host Rules

Participation by Non-Profits and Government Organizations at the Tumwater Farmers Market

Tumwater Town Center Farmers Market welcomes non-profit organizations and government agencies to participate in the Market on a space available basis.

If a group is interested in space, they may request an application or contact the market manager. The market manager will take all requests under advisement and schedule appropriately as space is available. One community booth per market day is provided. Multiple visits during a season will be subject to manager approval on a space available basis.

Market Dates and Times

The Market will open Wednesday, May 28 and runs for 23 consecutive Wednesdays through October 29, from 11 am to 2 pm as follows:

The Market is located on City of Tumwater property at the SW corner of Capitol Blvd. and Israel Rd, behind the old Tumwater Fire Station. All vendors must remain at the Market site until the 2:00 pm closing, and must vacate the Market site by 4:00 pm.

Day of Market Requests

If a group is interested in renting the booth on the day of the market, the specific non-profit or government organization is welcome to come to the Market on Wednesdays, between 10:30 and 11:30 to inquire whether there is availability of community booth space for that day. The market manager will approve any requests made on the day of the market as well as any advance requests.

Non-profits and government organizations are encouraged to let the Market Manager know what dates are most desirable and she will include your requests on a primary scheduling list. Then, if space becomes available other than the preferred Market day you will receive a call during the week advising you of the opportunity to use the booth.

The Market requires the Non-profit application be completed and charges a $15.00 stall fee that is due with submission of the application. Non-profits and government organizations are allowed to sell only those items that promote their organization. Commissions will not be charged on non-profit sales. Donations from the public to the non-profit organization are allowed at the community booth. The Market does not allow direct political or religious activity in the Market.

Equipment

The Market supplies a10' x 10' canopy, one 6' table and 2 chairs.

The community booth follows all market rules and guidelines. The market manager will enforce the rules and may ask a group to leave if they are non-compliant.

These Rules may be modified at any time. The Market Manager will notify all vendors of any changes.
